With less than a hundred English Toy Terriers bred last year, they are on the UK list of vulnerable breeds.
MY DOGS ARE REGISTERED WITH PETS AS THERAPY
My dogs are Kennel Club registered, and as well as having success in the show ring, they are registered with Pets As Therapy and we regularly visit, local schools, hospitals and nursing homes throughout Newport and the surrounding areas.
At Adargwn English Toy Terriers (ETT), I focus on ensuring all dogs are healthy and happy. My dogs have had great success in the UK and overseas in the show ring. However, I understand how dogs can help you feel better, which is why I became part of Pets As Therapy (PAT). Mickey was the first ETT to become a registered PAT dog, I also assess potential PAT dogs for the charity, ensuring they are suitable to visit hospitals, hospices, care homes and schools.

Pets As Therapy
English Toy Terriers are an old and iconic breed of dog boasting a wonderful temperament. This is why I joined PAT and visit local institutions, including hospitals, hospices, care homes, and schools. If you are interested in registering your dog with PAT please get in touch to arrange an assessment. I am a PAT assessor and we do consider all breeds of dogs.
Dog Shows
Alongside their friendliness, ETTs also have many characteristics that make them an excellent breed for entering into dog shows and competitions. My three oldest ETTs, Mickey, Minnie and Melody are show champions, winning multiple awards in the UK and Europe. They have won at Crufts and promoted the breed in the National Pet Show, and more.
